Managing stock levels

Stock levels let you control how many of an item can be purchased. When a quantity is set, Ezlunch & Kindo automatically count down sales and show Sold Out when the limit is reached.

This article shows you how to set, update, and reset stock levels, using both the Menu Management (Partner) Site and the Shop Site (once your school is linked).

Step-by-step

Set or update stock levels using the Menu Management (Partner) Site

1. Log in to the Menu Management Site

2. Click the category that contains the item you want to update (for example, Drinks)

3. Select the item you want to adjust stock for (for example, Charlie's Apple Juice Drink).

4. Edit the Available Quantity
    1. Click the pencil icon beside Available quantity
    2. Select Limited Stock








5. Enter the quantity
    1. Set the quantity you want to make available for purchase (or leave as 0)
    2. Click save
The stock level updates immediately.



Reset an item to unlimited stock using the Menu Management (Partner) Site

If you want to remove the quantity limit and make the item available again:

1. Open the item in the Item Editor

2. Click the pencil icon beside Available quantity

3. Remove the number in the field

4. Select Unlimited Stock

5. Click save

Update stock levels from the shop site

You can also adjust stock levels from the shop site once your school is linked.

1. Go to shop.kindo.co.nz and sign in

2. Select the Stock levels tab from the menu bar



3. Update quantities.
    1. Click the field you want to adjust
    2. Enter the quantity you’d like
    3. Click Save to apply the changes
To remove a quantity limit and return the item to unlimited stock:
    1. Click into the field
    2. Delete the number
    3. Click Save



What customers will see

  1. As purchases are made, available stock counts down automatically.
  1. When an item's quantity is set to 0, it will automatically show as Sold Out on the school's shop page.



Notes
Important notes about stock levels:
  1. If you set stock levels, families can pre-order for the term, and those pre-orders will automatically reduce your available stock.
  1. Stock levels do not reset automatically, so you’ll need to review and update them regularly if you use this feature often.
  1. If you have more than one menu, stock levels must be updated on each menu individually — changes don’t flow between menus.
