Learn about internal school suppliers

What you see on this page

This page shows internal suppliers that can share tracking categories and codes with each other.

You will only see suppliers that:

  • Have services connected to your school, AND
  • You are an order admin for

If you don't see a supplier you expect to see, check that you have order admin access for that supplier, and that there is a service connected to that supplier.

Why connect suppliers to your accounting system?

When internal suppliers are connected to the same Xero account, they can share tracking categories and codes.

This means:

  • You set up your tracking categories once
  • They appear in dropdown menus across all connected suppliers
  • All your internal suppliers can use the same tracking structure

To make the most of this feature: We recommend connecting your internal suppliers to Xero and setting them up for the Xero integration. This ensures tracking codes flow through automatically when invoices are created.

If a supplier isn't connected yet but needs to be, let the Kindo support team know and we'll help you get set up.

What are internal suppliers?

Internal suppliers are parts of your school that provide items (payment requests or shop products) to your school community – like your School Office and Sports Department.

External suppliers (like EZlunch or stationery providers) are managed separately and won't appear in this list.
