Unlinked Students Report

This report shows which students are not currently linked to a Kindo account.

If a student is not linked, their caregivers will not be able to see outstanding payments for any payable items the school has applied.

Why a student might not be linked

There are two common reasons:
  1. Their caregivers have not yet joined Kindo.
  2. Their caregivers have a different email address on the school records to the one they used to set up their Kindo account.

Resolving email address issues

  1. The simplest fix is to update either the school record or the Kindo account so the email addresses match.
  2. If you update a caregiver's email address in your SMS, note that updates are not always immediate. Most SMS systems update hourly, but some may only update overnight. Caregivers may need to wait before trying again.
  3. If the caregiver prefers to keep different email addresses for school and Kindo, please contact our Helpdesk with both addresses so we can connect them.

Notes
Matching the email address the school has on record to the caregiver's Kindo email is usually the fastest way to get them linked.

Running the report

1.     Select the Reporting tab from the main Payables Admin page

2.    On the Reporting menu, under Operations select Unlinked students.

3.    At a glance you will see a timestamp of when the data was last updated and then a summary status box of:

  1. Number of Unlinked students.
  2. Number of Students in roll.
  3. Number of Caregivers in roll.
  4. Caregiver-student relationships in roll.
Keeping the Unlinked students number low compared with the Students in roll helps ensure most students are connected to Kindo. This makes it easier for caregivers to view payment requests and keeps your reporting accurate.

4.  By default, the report will display all students who are not currently linked to a Kindo account. To narrow the results, use the search box to filter by student name, student ID, or caregiver name, then click Search.

5. The report results will list each unlinked student along with their caregiver details. For each record you'll see:

  1. Student ID, first and last name, Year level, and Room.
  2. Caregiver first and last name, Relationship, Email, and Mobile.

NOTE:  Students will appear more than once if there are two separate caregivers both associated with the student.

6. You can Export this information and/or use it to email those caregivers to encourage them to setup their Kindo account.
