Setting service dates

Setting service dates

Access: Service Administrators

Setting dates is important for some services - it sets the period of time that the service is open for business.

TYPES OF DATE SETTINGS

Choose the date settings most appropriate for your service, four ideas below:

1. Term dates - set up the dates for all four terms (useful for food services).
NOTE: always use school term dates for lunch services so that you don't take lunch orders for days in the holidays!

2. Whole year - set one date from the 1st day of the year to the last day of the year (useful for sports, fundraisers etc), or future years.
NOTE: Before the last day you will get an automated email reminder to let you know your service is about to expire.

3. Indefinite - set the date to 'Always Open' (useful for stationery, uniforms etc)

4. Limited time - set specific start and end dates relevant to that service (useful for school productions, art shows etc)
NOTE:
Before the last day you will get an automated email reminder to let you know your service is about to expire.

HOW TO SET UP DATES

1. On the partner site, select service manager and then scroll down to the service you wish set dates for.

2. Click on the service name and it will bring up all the details in the centre panel. Scroll down to Availability.

3. Select Always Open (for most services) or select Set Dates (for food services, limited time services etc).

4. Click Add to manually enter the dates you require, or select Copy from Service if you have set the correct dates up in another service and wish to copy them over.

4a. Manually enter the dates you require by clicking in the dates field to bring up a calendar. Simply click on the day in the calendar you wish to select.

To add more dates click Add. If no dates are set the red warning icon will show.

4b. To Copy dates from another service, click that option and a pop-up will appear. Choose the Service you want to copy from, select copy windows, and the same date windows will appear in your Service.

5. Ensure you Save Draft to save your changes (but not make them visible to users), or Save & Publish to save your changes and make them visible on your Shop site.
