Auto Split feature

Access: Payable Administrators                                       

Normally a payable is applied against a student and all caregivers can create SMS-linked Kindo accounts, and view and make payments (or part payments) for that student. 

NOTE: This standard setup is recommended, as it enables caregivers to manage their own finances independently from the school, and reduces workload.

However, in some cases, we appreciate the sensitive nature of split families means this is not possible. For these specific cases, we can apply payables against student-caregiver relationships as Auto Splits. This means that for requested families, when you apply a payable at any level (individually, by room, group, etc.), Kindo will automatically split the payment request by a set percentage between caregivers. You can choose to set the split at 50:50 or 80:20, or whatever arrangement you need for that split family.

We can setup student-caregiver split relationships individually or in bulk. If you wish to take advantage of this feature, please get in touch with our helpdesk now.

For each student we will need the following information:
  • Student name
  • Student ID
  • Caregiver names
  • Ratio of split (if this is uneven, make sure it is clear which caregiver has which proportion)
Once setup, you can view the split between payments/caregivers using the POS page. Hover over the head and shoulders icon to see the caregiver name:


Note: The Auto Split for any student can be adjusted or removed at any time by emailing the helpdesk.
