Access: Payable Administrators
Auto Splits allow payables to be divided between caregivers for families where a standard shared-access setup isn't appropriate. When configured, Kindo automatically splits payment requests by a set percentage whenever a payable is applied — whether individually, by room, or by group.
The standard setup — where a payable is applied against a student and all caregivers can view and make payments — is recommended where possible. It lets caregivers manage their finances independently and reduces school workload.
Instructions
To request Auto Splits for one or more students, email the helpdesk with the following information for each student:
- Student name
- Student ID
- Caregiver names
- Split ratio (if uneven, specify which proportion applies to which caregiver)
Kindo can set up student-caregiver split relationships individually or in bulk. If the student has existing charges, the helpdesk team will split these to align with the requested arrangement.
Viewing Auto Splits
Once set up, you can see how charges are divided on the Point of Sale page. Each caregiver's charge appears individually. Hover over the person icon to see the caregiver name.

- Available split ratios
You can choose any arrangement that suits the family — 50:50, 80:20, or another ratio.
- Adjusting or removing an Auto Split
Auto Splits can be adjusted or removed at any time by emailing the helpdesk.
- Administrator requests only
To protect the privacy and legal interests of all parties, Auto Splits can only be requested by a school administrator. Caregivers who wish to arrange a split should speak with their school directly.
