Paying on behalf of a student (extended family or organisations)

Paying on behalf of a student (extended family or organisations)

If someone other than a caregiver (e.g. a grandparent, family friend, or organisation) is paying for a student, there are a few ways to manage this depending on the situation.

Choose the option that best fits:

To take a payment on behalf of someone -

Add a payer (POS page) - when someone else is contributing to a specific payment
School Managed Accounts - when the school needs to manage a caregiver's account and handle payments on their behalf over time
Community Shop - when you want to allow the wider community to purchase shop items themselves (e.g. fundraising or events)
Oranga Tamariki invoices and payments - when Oranga Tamariki is funding items and will pay Kindo directly
Variety invoices and payments - when a caregiver is requesting funding from Variety

For Shop purchases

Extended family members can purchase Shop items by:

  • Creating their own Kindo account, or
  • Using Community Shop (if enabled by the school)
