About Exempt

  1. Removes payables that were created by applying a payable to a room, group, year or entire school, when there are one or more students who you don't require to pay.
  2. You create an exemption by first applying a payable to the entire school, year, group or room, and then converting the payable to exemptions.
  3. Payables applied to an individual student cannot be Exempted, but will instead be Unapplied.
  4. Although the exempted fee is waived, there is still a record that the payable was applied. This prevents Add suggestions appearing on the Payable Maintenance page.
  5. Exempt can only be completed if no payment has been made. If the caregiver has paid or part-paid, you will first need to complete a Refund: Using actions to refund a payable.
Warning
Exemptions are permanent and cannot be undone. If a student needs the payable re-applied, use the Edit Payable feature in Payable apply to temporarily increase the Max per Student, re-apply the payable to the student, then set the Max per Student back to its original value.

Idea
EXAMPLES OF USE:
Apply Netball Tournament Fees to custom group Netball A Team. When the parent is coaching the team for the tournament, the school decides to waive the payable applied for that student, and can use Exempt to do this.
The student is not attending a year group camp and should be Exempt.
