Setting your School's Brand Colour
Give your school's shop its own look by setting a brand colour. The colour carries through to your school's hub in the Kindo app, so families see a header and school notice styled in your colour. If you don't set one, your shop uses the default Kindo palette.
How to set your school colour
- Log in to the Partner site.
- Open the Service Manager page.
- In the menu on the right, select School colour.
- Pick a colour from the picker, or type a hex code into the Hex colour field.
- Check the contrast readout below the picker to make sure your colour is readable (see note below).
- Select Save, then done.
The preview on the left shows how your colour will look on your school's hub, including the header and school notice card, before you save.
Reading the contrast indicator
Below the colour picker, Kindo shows a contrast ratio and a readability note, for example "Contrast 15.2:1 — readable on mobile". This tells you whether your chosen colour will be legible for families viewing the shop on their phones. A higher ratio means better readability. If the note flags your colour as hard to read, pick a darker or more saturated shade.
Using the default palette
To go back to the standard Kindo colours, open School colour, clear the Hex colour field using Clear, and save. Leaving the hex field empty keeps the default Kindo palette.
Your brand colour applies to your school's shop in the Kindo app. It doesn't change the colours families see elsewhere in Kindo.
