Payment requests for outstanding payments
Caregivers can be sent an email reminder for any outstanding payables. The personalised email will list all outstanding payables for caregiver.
The email will contain a link, so caregivers can easily make their payment, or create a Kindo account.
We recommend using this feature regularly, as these reminders make it easy for caregivers to make payments, which means outstanding funds come in more quickly to you.
Select Payable Status from the main Kindo Payables Admin page on the shop site or alternatively go to admin and select payable status.
Filters
We suggest leaving the default Any to send emails to all caregivers outstanding charges. However, you can also target particular charges, families, year levels etc. as needed.
Using the Payable drop-down options: Category and/or Payable, select the particular payable(s) you wish to view.
You can also search for a Payable Category and/or Payable by just clicking and typing in the boxes.
If All is checked, payables that have been moved to Kindo Payables Historic will also be shown. As above, we suggest leaving the default Any to send emails to all caregivers outstanding charges. However, you can also target particular charges or students as needed.
Using the Student drop-down options: Room, Year and/or Enrolment status, select the particular payable applied group you wish to view.
You can also search for a Room, Year and/or Enrolment status by just clicking and typing in the boxes.

Enrolment status is a function available for some SMS.
Show advanced filters allows you to view students who are members of a particular group.
All payables for your selected criteria will appear on the screen to view.
You can add visible columns by selecting Columns and selecting additional columns under Column Visibility; Room, Applied, Requested, Rule or Comments.

If you see an ‘UNKNOWN’ or '-' in the Room column for a student, it often means the student is a pre-enrol, or the student has left the school.
It can also mean that you have not allocated a room number. Please let our Helpdesk know and they will work with you to correct it.
Select which options you would like to view on your screen - we recommend the default No payments and Part payments, but you can choose just one of these.
All payables for your selected criteria will appear on the screen to view.
Payment Requests
To select all, select the top box and all payables will be selected.
To make individual selections click on the tick box next to the families you wish to send email reminders to.
Click on the Send Payment Request to bring up the email options box.
You can edit the email's subject line, salutation, contact information, and main message text if needed. You can also choose to include the student's full name.

Editing the subject, salutation, contact information, and content of the email is optional. The student's first name and your school name will be automatically filled into the Compose Email.

The default message will read: The following are available for payment through myKindo:
You can add additional text into this Message by clicking in the Message box.

Suggested additional wording - you can adapt this to suit your school, the time of year etc:
Dear parents and caregivers,
We are pleased to be using Kindo as our preferred payment system, making school payments easier and more flexible for our families.
Kindo can be used for donations, course and sports-related costs, trips, fundraisers and more. There are several safe, convenient payment options.
If you are creating a new Kindo account, please ensure you use the same email address we currently have on file for you.
If you already have a Kindo account through another school or organisation, you can update your details to include our school.
If you need any assistance with your myKindo account, please contact the Kindo helpdesk.

Select Preview to view the emails prior to sending them to your caregivers.
All outstanding payments will be listed for each caregiver in a numbered list after this text.
Each email will contain a link to the individual’s family account, so they can easily click on the link from their email to make their payment.

The link sent to caregivers in an email will expire within 1-2 weeks depending on whether they already have an account or are needing to set-up an account.
Using the scroll bar, you can scroll down to see the bottom of the email.

Your school logo will appear on these, and you can view which logo is currently loaded in Kindo via the preview option. If you would like to update this, please contact the Helpdesk.
If you select Edit, it will take you back Compose Email.
If you have multiple emails, you can select which recipient you would like to preview.
Select Send to send the email to each caregiver on the list.

If an error message occurs, please contact our Helpdesk. This is usually because there is an incorrect email format for one of your caregivers in your SMS. Our Helpdesk will be able to identify incorrect email formats, so that you can correct in your SMS.
