Creating a Kindo group

Creating a Kindo group

Access: Payables Administrator

This enables you to create a Kindo group where you choose the students who will be in the group.

You can do this by either;

  • selecting individuals using the student search option.
  • pasting a downloaded list of Students IDs from your SMS.

Creating a Kindo group by searching students' names

1.    Select Groups Editor from the main Kindo Payable Admin page.

2.    Select + New Group.

Type in the Group Name in the pop-up box that appears.

TIP: Add the year into your Kindo group name.  E.g. 2024 Senior Kapa Haka

3.    Using the Student box (Select a student) enter in the first few letters of the students first name.

A list of all the students whose name contains those letters will appear. You can select the student you would like and click on 'Add Student' to add the student to the group.

4.    Repeat step 3 for every student you need to add to your Kindo group.

TIP:    Once you have applied a payable to your group, each time you then add a new student to your group, the payable already applied to the group will automatically also be applied to the new student.

Creating a Kindo Group by pasting from your school management system

For larger Kindo groups that you need to create, it will be faster to download a list of those student ID’s from your Student Management System (SMS) and use this to create your groups.

1.    From your SMS create a list of the students you want to add to your Kindo group using their student ID’s.

2.    Select Groups Editor from the main Kindo Payable Admin page.

3.     Select + New Group.

Type in the Group Name in the pop-up box that appears.

4.    Select Import students.

Paste existing student IDs separated by new line.

Idea
Add the year into your Kindo group name.  E.g. Senior Choir 2024

5.   Click Create.  Your Kindo group is now saved.

6.    Use the Admin option to return to the main payable menu, and complete process as outlined in Payable Apply for Kindo Groups.

Info
KAMAR schools: We recommend creating your groups in KAMAR first, as these will automatically feed through to Kindo. If you need to create a Kindo-specific group, use the Save Group option in Payable Status rather than importing IDs here.
