Contingency Fund Payments for Foreign Fee-Paying Students in POS
For KAMAR high schools managing foreign fee-paying (FFP) students, contingency funds can be used to pay outstanding payables individually through the Point of Sale page, or in bulk through AutoBuy on the Foreign Fee Paying students page. A School Managed Account must be set up for the student before using either method.
Paying individual items through Point of Sale
Use this method when you need to pay specific payables for an FFP student using their contingency fund balance.
Before you begin
- The student must have a School Managed Account set up - this will appear with a graduation hat icon in the Payer section of the POS page.
- The contingency fund balance must be sufficient to cover the item being paid
- Payments made via the contingency fund will not appear in POS reports
- Standard Kindo POS fees apply
To pay for an individual item:
1. From the Point of Sale page, search for and select the student.
2. Check the Fee type field - it should show FF, confirming the student is a foreign fee-paying student.
3. Select the
Payer — look for the graduation hat icon, which indicates a
School Managed Account.

4. Select the payable item you want to pay.
5. Under Payment type, select Contingency fund.

6. Select
Confirm payment.
