Application Limit

Application Limit

Access Level Required: Kindo Payables Administrator

Application Limit (formerly known as Max Instance/Max Per Student) is a feature that controls how many times a Payment request or Form request can be applied to a student.

Setting Application Limit

  1. In the Create Payable or Create Form screen, locate the Application Limit section.
  2. Use the drop-down menu and select how many times this payment or form request can be applied to each student.

When to Use Application Limit

Preventing Double Charges (Set to 1):
When you want to ensure a student is only charged or has to submit a form once. This prevents duplicates when:

  • A student belongs to multiple groups receiving the same charge or form (like a Science fee for Chemistry, Biology, and Physics classes)
  • Applying charges or forms to current students for future activities (adding a Year 6 camp deposit to a current Year 5 student, this ensures they won't be charged or asked to submit a form again when they move into Year 6)

Multiple Purchases (Set higher or unlimited):
When students might need multiple charges for:

  • Stationery items
  • Lost library book/text book
  • Bus passes

NotesYou can edit this setting later by selecting Action > Edit from the Payable Catalogue or Form Catalogue if you need to adjust the limit.
